(Los Angeles, CA) — The best team in baseball is adding a big arm for the stretch run. The Dodgers acquired starting pitcher Yu Darvish from the Rangers before baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline on Monday. LA also picked up relievers Tony Watson from Pittsburgh and Tony Cingrani from Cincinnati.

(Bronx, NY) — The Yankees are bolstering their rotation for a playoff push. New York acquired starting pitcher Sonny Gray from the A’s in exchange for three prospects. The 27-year-old Gray is 6-and-5 with a 3.43 ERA in 16 starts this season. He won’t be eligible for free agency until 2020.

(Chicago, IL) — Matt Davidson had a walk-off hit for a second straight game as the White Sox topped the Blue Jays, 7-6. Davidson had an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth for the Sox, who rallied from a 6-0 deficit. Chicago put up seven runs in the final three innings. Yoan Moncada and Willy Garcia both left the game with injuries after a collision in the sixth.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The Cardinals are in Milwaukee tonight to play the Brewers. It’s the first of a three-game series at Miller Park and the start of an eight-game road trip that will also take St. Louis to Cincinnati and Kansas City. Carlos Martinez will start the series opener for the Cardinals, while the Brewers send 8-and-5 Jimmy Nelson to the mound.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs are back at the “Friendly Confines” tonight as they host the Diamondbacks in the first of a three-game series. Jon Lester takes the mound for Chicago, while Arizona sends Patrick Corbin to the bump. The Cubs are 13-and-3 since the All-Star break and lead the NL Central at 56-and-48, two-and-a-half games ahead of Milwaukee.

(Chicago, IL) — The man blamed by many Cubs fans for preventing the team from getting to the 2003 World Series is getting a very special gift. The Cubs are giving Steve Bartman a 2016 World Series championship ring. Bartman infamously interfered with a foul ball in Game Six of the 2003 NLCS, causing most fans to blame him for the Cubs’ eventual series loss.
