(Bloomington, IL) — The chief of police in Bloomington says he can accept a citizens’ police review board. But Chief Brendan Heffner says he doesn’t want felons to have a seat on the board. City leaders in Bloomington may vote on a review board tonight, though the debate over whether felons will be eligible could delay a decision. Heffner last week said if former police officers are banned from the board, people with serious criminal histories should be banned as well.
