(St. Louis, MO) — Southern Illinois’ flooding problems are about to get a lot worse. Forecasters say they expect as much as four inches of rain today and tomorrow. The Mississippi River south of St. Louis and the Big Muddy River are already flooded, the National Weather Service expects them to swell out of their banks. There’s an emergency declaration in-place for Williamson, Jackson, and Franklin counties.
