(Peoria, IL) — The former leader of Peoria County’s lead hazard program is accused of using grant money toward his now-wife’s rental home. The “Peoria Journal Star” reports Dale Clarkson was charged yesterday with official misconduct and state benefits fraud. Investigators say Clarkson’s wife used state grant money to replace old windows on a house in Peoria nearly six years ago. The windows cost about seven-thousand-dollars.
