(Jupiter, FL) — The Cardinals and Pirates could play a game in Williamsport, Pennsylvania this summer. DKPittsburghSports.com reports the August 20th game scheduled for PNC Park in Pittsburgh would be moved to the home of the Little League World Series. The game at Historic Bowman Field would be shown on ESPN.

(Tempe, AZ) — The Cubs outslugged the Angels, 13-10, in Cactus League play yesterday. Jason Heyward homered, plated three runs and scored twice for Chicago. Jake Arrieta allowed three runs, two earned, and five hits in two innings. The Cubs face Italy in an exhibition game this afternoon.

(Auburn Hills, MI) — The Pistons pulled away for a 109-95 win over the shorthanded Bulls. Chicago was without Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade. Jimmy Butler had 27 points for the Bulls, who are now in eighth in the East. The Bulls visit the Magic tomorrow night.

(Cleveland, OH) — The season is likely over for new Cavaliers center Andrew Bogut. The big man broke his left leg less than a minute into his Cleveland debut in last night’s loss to the Heat. The 32-year-old Bogut just signed with the Cavs last Thursday.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The NBA is postponing another game due to a slippery floor. Last night’s scheduled game between the Trail Blazers and Timberwolves was postponed because of the court conditions in Minnesota. A game between the Kings and 76ers was also postponed because of a wet floor in November.

(Uncasville, CT) — The UConn women’s basketball team is celebrating its 107th straight win. The Lady Huskies smoked South Florida 100-44 in the AAC title game. Katie Lou Samuelson went 10-of-10 from three-point range and scored 40 points in the victory.

(Washington, DC) — Illinois will begin the Big Ten Tournament Thursday in the nation’s capital. The Fighting Illini face Michigan in second-round action at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC at 11 a.m. Illinois split two regular-season meetings with the Wolverines. Illinois is 18-and-13 overall, while Michigan is 20-and-11.

(Las Vegas, NV) — The NHL’s newest team is adding its first player. The Vegas Golden Knights signed center Reid Duke to an entry-level contract yesterday. The Golden Knights officially became the NHL’s 31st team last week. They will open play next season.

(Undated) — The opening stages of NFL free agency begin today as teams may begin negotiating contracts with unrestricted free agents. Players and teams can’t officially sign contracts until Thursday afternoon. Top free agents for the Colts include tight end Jack Doyle, cornerback Darius Butler, and outside linebacker Erik Walden.
