(Taylorville, IL) — Taylorville congressman Rodney Davis is breaking with his Republican colleagues over an Obama-era program that supports retirement savings. The U.S. House voted this week to scrap the plan that allows states to set up IRA deductions for those workers whose employees don’t offer retirement plans. Davis was one of three Republicans to vote against the repeal, which now heads to the Senate.
