>>Northwestern Picks Up Huge Win Over Wisconsin


(Madison, WI)  —  Northwestern is strengthening its case for its first NCAA Tournament bid in school history.  The Wildcats went on the road and held on for a 66-59 win over fifth-ranked Wisconsin.  Northwestern improved to 19-and-6 with the victory.


>>Illinois Falls To PennState


(Champaign, IL)  —  Payton Banks had 24 points off the bench to lead Penn State to an 83-70 win Saturday at Illinois.  The Fighting Illini trailed by 12 at the break and lost for the seventh time in nine games.  Illinois is 14-and-12 overall and 4-and-9 in the Big Ten.  The Illini play this Saturday at Iowa.


>>Reds Ship Phillips To Braves


(Cincinnati, OH)  —  A three-time All-Star second baseman is on the move.  The Reds have traded Brandon Phillips to the Braves in exchange for a pair of minor league pitchers.  The 35-year-old hit. 291 with 11 homers and 64 RBI in 141 games last season.


>>Cubs, White Sox Report For Spring Training This Week


(Undated)  —  The Cubs and White Sox will report for Spring Training in Arizona this week.  Pitchers and catchers for the World Series champion Cubs report tomorrow, with position players to follow on Friday.  Pitchers and catchers for the White Sox report today.  Position players will arrive on Friday.


>>Timberwolves Trounce Bulls


(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The Timberwolves trounced the shorthanded Bulls 117-89 in Minnesota.  Chicago was without Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic and Dwyane Wade.  Doug McDermott and Bobby Portis had 16 points apiece for Chicago, which went 2-and-4 on its six-game road trip.  The Bulls host the Raptors tomorrow.


>>Spieth Wins Pebble Beach Pro-Am


(Pebble Beach, CA)  —  Jordan Spieth is celebrating another tournament victory.  Spieth posted a four-shot victory at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am yesterday.  It’s the 23-year-old’s first win this season and the ninth of his PGA Tour career.


>>Former Dolphin Moses Dies In House Fire


(Monroe, GA)  —  Former Dolphins defensive end Quentin Moses is dead following a Sunday morning house fire in Monroe, Georgia.  Moses was found unconscious outside the home and pronounced dead at the hospital.  Moses was 33 years old.


>>Trump Takes Shot At Mavs’ Cuban


(Undated)  —  Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is under fire from President Donald Trump on Twitter.  Trump tweeted yesterday that Cuban isn’t “smart enough to run for president!”.  In response, Cuban simply tweeted “Lol”.
