Police Department Clears Officer Of Wrongdoing In Shooting

(Mahomet, IL)  —  The eastern Illinois police officer involved in a gunfight with a man who led authorities on a massive manhunt is being cleared of wrongdoing.  That’s according to a report released Monday by the Mahomet Police Department regarding officer Jeremy Scharlow.  He exchanged gunfire with Dracy Clint Pendleton back in May before Pendleton was eventually killed in a shootout with police in southern Illinois.
