>>Packers Bounce Eagles On “MNF”

 

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns to Davante Adams in the Packers’ 27-13 win against the Eagles on “Monday Night Football.”  Green Bay ended a four-game losing streak to get to 5-and-6.  The Eagles fell to 5-and-6 and are 2-and-6 since a 3-and-0 start.

 

 

>>Colts’ Luck Returns To Practice

 

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is back practicing with the team.  Luck missed last Thursday’s home loss to Pittsburgh with a concussion.  It remains unclear if he has passed the NFL’s concussion protocol or if he will be ready to play in next Monday’s game at the New York Jets.  Luck has thrown for 2,827 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season for the 5-and-6 Colts.

 

 

>>Blues Outlast Stars In Overtime

 

(St. Louis, MO)  —  Vladimir Tarasenko scored in overtime to give the Blues a 4-3 win over the Stars at Scottrade Center.  Robby Fabbri, Alex Pietrangelo and David Perron also scored for St. Louis, which blew 2-0 and 3-2 leads before winning its fifth straight at home.  The Blues host Tampa Bay on Thursday.

 

 

 

>>Illinois Hosts NC State Tonight In ACC / Big Ten Challenge

 

(Champaign, IL)  —  The Illinois basketball team is on its home floor tonight.  The Fighting Illini host North Carolina State in the ACC / Big Ten Challenge.  Illinois is looking to end a three-game losing streak that has the Illini at 4-and-3 on the season.  The Wolfpack are 5-and-1 after beating Loyola on Saturday.

 

 

 

>>Michigan Fined For Harbaugh Criticizing Refs

 

(Ann Arbor, MI)  —  Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is getting his school hit in the wallet.  The university has been fined 10-thousand-dollars by the Big Ten for Harbaugh criticizing the officials after the Wolverines’ loss to rival Ohio State on Saturday.  He is the first coach to be fined by the conference since former Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini in 2013.

 

 

 

>>College Football Playoff Rankings Released Tonight

 

(Undated)  —  The final stretch of the college football season has arrived.  The second-to-last edition of the College Football Playoff rankings will be released tonight.  Last week Alabama was number-one, Ohio State was two, Michigan was three and Clemson was four.

 

 

 

>>Thunder’s Westbrook Averaging A Triple-Double

 

(New York, NY)  —  Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is on his way to a potentially historic season.  Westbrook went off for 27 points, 18 rebounds and 14 assists in Oklahoma City’s win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  He is now averaging a triple-double for the season.  The 28-year-old is putting up 30.9 points, 10.3 boards and 11.3 assists through 19 games.

 

 

 

>>Marlins Agree To Two-Year Deal With Volquez

 

(Miami, FL)  —  The Marlins are adding a free-agent starter to their rotation.  The “Miami Herald” reports the Fish have agreed to a two-year, 22-million-dollar contract with right-hander Edinson Volquez.  The 33-year-old spent the last two years with the Royals, helping KC win the 2015 World Series.
