>>Cowboys Capture 10th Straight Win 

(Arlington, TX)  —  Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott accounted for two touchdowns apiece as the Cowboys held off Washington, 31-26.  Dallas has won a franchise-record 10 straight games since a season-opening loss to the Giants.  Washington dropped to 6-4-and-1. 

>>Lions Nip Vikings 

(Detroit, MI)  —  Matt Prater’s 40-yard field goal as time expired gave the Lions a 16-13 win over the Vikings in Detroit.  The Lions have reeled off three straight wins and sit alone atop the NFC North at 7-and-4.  Minnesota is 6-and-5 after a 5-and-0 start. 

>>Steelers Steamroll Colts 

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdown passes to Antonio Brown as the Steelers steamrolled the Colts, 28-7.  The Steelers now sit in first place in the AFC North at 6-and-5.  Colts quarterback Andrew Luck did not play due to a concussion. 

>>Bears Host Titans 

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bears face the Titans Sunday at Soldier Field.  The Bears have lost two in-a-row to dip to 2-and-8.  Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler is dealing with a shoulder injury and Matt Barkley could start in his place. 

>>College Basketball Roundup 

(Undated)  —  In college hoops, Illinois was blown out by West Virginia, 89-57, in the NIT Season Tip-Off in Brooklyn.  The Illini face Florida State in the consolation game today.

>>College Football Roundup 

(Undated)  —  Illinois wraps up the football seasons this weekend.  The Fighting Illini finish up on the road Saturday at Northwestern.  Illinois is 3-and-8 on the season.

>>Herman Reportedly Close To Deal With LSU 

(Baton Rouge, LA)  —  Houston head football coach Tom Herman appears to be on the move.  ESPN reports Herman could have a deal in place to take over at LSU as early as tomorrow.  However, ESPN also reports Herman hasn’t ruled out a potential offer from Texas if Charlie Strong is fired. 

>>Izzo Apologizes After Loss 

(Nassau, Bahamas)  —  Number-24 Michigan State was blown out by Baylor, 73-58, as part of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.  After the game, Spartans head coach Tom Izzo apologized to the team for the brutal early-season schedule, which previously included stops in New York and Hawaii.
