New Study Finds Medications In Groundwater

(Urbana, IL)  —  The something in the water in East Central Illinois is medication and even human hormones. Researchers at the University of Illinois say they’ve found very small levels of over the counter drugs in the groundwater. The university’s report says levels aren’t high enough to impact people, but could be high enough to harm fish or other animals in the water.
