(Chicago, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner is revealing his taxes three days after the election in which he spent more than 20-million-dollars to elect Republicans to the state legislature. The returns show that Rauner and his wife Diane more than tripled their income in 2015 to about one-hundred-88-million-dollars. Much of that money came from investments, which are taxed at a lower rate than earned income. Still, the Rauners paid about 50-million-dollars in state and federal income taxes. Rauner did not release all of the tax schedules which would show which tax deductions he was able to use.
