(Undated)  —  Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Washington are the top four teams in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings.  Washington moved up one spot after Texas A&M lost at Mississippi State.  Ohio State is fifth and Louisville is sixth.



>>Clemson QB Watson Going Pro


(Columbia, SC)  —  Clemson quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Deshaun Watson is going pro.  Last year, Watson became the first player ever to throw for over 4,000 yards and run for more than 1,000 yards in a season.  He’s projected to be a first-round pick.



>>Jones: Cowboys Will Play QB Situation “By Ear”


(Frisco, TX)  —  Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says they will play their quarterback situation “by ear”.  Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that the team will “play it out as it comes”.  Rookie Dak Prescott has led the team to a 7-and-1 start while Tony Romo has been out with a back injury.



>>MLB Hands Out Gold Gloves


(New York, NY)  —  Outfielder Jason Heyward and first baseman Anthony Rizzo of the World Series champion Cubs are Gold Glove Award winners.  The honors for defensive excellence were handed out last night.  Other winners include Cleveland’s Francisco Lindor and San Francisco’s Buster Posey.



>>Blues Host Blackhawks Tonight


(St. Louis, MO)  —  The Blues host the Blackhawks tonight in the finale of a three-game homestand.  St. Louis has won the first two over Columbus and Colorado and is second in the Central Division with 16 points, three behind the first-place Blackhawks.  Chicago comes in riding a six-game winning streak.



>>Cavaliers Handed First Loss


(Cleveland, OH)  —  The Hawks handed the Cavaliers their first loss of the season with a 110-106 win in Cleveland.  The defending champion Cavs had opened the season with six straight wins.  There are no unbeaten teams left in the NBA.
