>>Cubs Clobber Indians To Force Game Seven


(Cleveland, OH)  —  There will be a Game Seven in the World Series.  Addison Russell belted a grand slam to power the Cubs to a 9-3 win over the Indians in Game Six in Cleveland.  Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant also homered in the victory.

(Cleveland, OH)  —  Game Seven of the World Series is tonight in Cleveland.  The Cubs are looking to become the first team to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Fall Classic since 1985.  Chicago is also in search of its first title since 1908.  The Indians haven’t won the World Series since 1948.


>>Mets’ Familia Arrested For Domestic Violence


(Undated)  —  Another athlete is facing domestic violence charges.  Mets closer Jeurys Familia was arrested Monday and charged with simple assault.  Familia was featured in an anti-domestic violence ad campaign earlier this year.


>>Blues Blanked By Rangers


(New York, NY)  —  The Blues failed to get any of their 35 shots past Henrik Lundqvist in a 5-0 loss to the Rangers in New York.  Jake Allen gave up four goals before giving way to Carter Hutton in the second period.  St. Louis has lost five-of-seven.  The Blues play the Stars tomorrow in Dallas.


>>Blackhawks Foil Flames With Four-Goal Third


(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks scored four times in the third period to post a 5-1 win over the Flames in Chicago.  Patrick Kane scored in the first and assisted on two goals in the third for Chicago, which has won three in-a-row.  Corey Crawford kicked away 33 shots in the victory.


>>First College Football Playoff Rankings Released


(Grapevine, TX)  —  The first College Football Playoff rankings of the year aren’t without controversy.  Undefeated Alabama, Clemson and Michigan are ranked one-through-three, respectively.  One-loss Texas A&M is ahead of unbeaten Washington for fourth.


>>Warriors Trounce Trail Blazers


(Portland, OR)  —  Steph Curry scored 28 points as the Warriors trounced the Trail Blazers, 127-104, in Portland.  Kevin Durant added 20 points for Golden State, which has won three in-a-row since a season-opening loss to the Spurs.


>>Bulls’ Carter-Williams Out Three To Four Weeks


(Chicago, IL)  —  Bulls guard Michael Carter-Williams is out with a bone bruise on his left knee.  He is expected to miss three-to-four weeks.  Carter-Williams suffered the injury during Monday’s 118-88 win in Brooklyn.


>>Bulls Clash With Celtics


(Boston, MA)  —  The Bulls clash with the Celtics tonight in Boston.  Chicago improved to 3-and-0 with Monday’s blowout win over the Nets.  The Bulls are unbeaten through their first three games for the first time since the 1996-97 season.


>>Struggling Colts Prep For Packers


(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts are reeling after falling to 3-and-5 on Sunday and it doesn’t get easier with a trip to Green Bay looming.  They may be short handed with news that cornerback Vontae Davis and lineman Joe Reitz are both in concussion protocol as preparations for Sunday begin.  Kickoff is slated for 3:25 p.m. at Lambeau Field.


>>Illini Host Slumping Spartans Saturday


(Champaign, IL)  —  Illinois will host Michigan State this Saturday.  Both teams are struggling.  The Illini have been outscored 81-to-25 in their last two games, losses to Michigan and Minnesota.  Illinois is 2-and-6 overall and 1-and-4 in the Big Ten.  The Spartans have lost six in-a-row to slip to 2-and-6.
