Dennis Seidenberg and Ryan Strome gave the Isles an early two-goal lead in the first period. Jaroslav Halak made 23 saves as New York improved to 2-3-and-0. Arizona’s Brad Richardson and Radim Vrbata lit the lamp 13 seconds apart in the first to tie the game. Louis Domingue stopped 28 shots in defeat as the Coyotes dropped to 1-3-and-0.

(Columbus, OH) — Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 32-of-34 shots as Columbus held on to beat the Blackhawks, 3-2, at Nationwide Arena. Nick Foligno and William Karlsson picked up their first goals of the season for the Blue Jackets. Rookie defenseman Zach Werenski also lit the lamp and added an assist as Columbus earned its first win of the season. Tyler Motte and Richard Panik found the back of the net for Chicago. Goalie Corey Crawford made 25 saves in the loss. The Blackhawks dropped to 2-3-and-0 on the year.
Red Wings Down Predators
(Detroit, MI) — Five different players scored for Detroit as the Red Wings downed the Predators, 5-3, in the Motor City. Gustav Nyquist tallied a goal and an assist. The Wings broke open the game with a trio of third-period goals. Petr Mrazek stopped 30 shots, and Detroit won its third straight to improve to 3-2-and-0 on the year. All three of Nashville’s goals came on power play opportunities. The Predators dropped to 1-3-and-0 on the year.
Cubs Host Dodgers In NLCS G6 Saturday
(Chicago, IL) — The Chicago Cubs are back home and just a win away from a trip to the World Series. The Cubs can punch their ticket to the Fall Classic with a win in Saturday’s Game Six of the National League Championship Series at Wrigley Field. Chicago grabbed a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven matchup with an 8-4 win in Thursday’s Game Five in Los Angeles. Kyle Hendricks will start for the Cubs, while the Dodgers turn to ace Clayton Kershaw. It’s a rematch of Game Two, which LA won 1-0. The Cubs are looking to reach their first World Series since 1945. The Dodgers haven’t been in the Fall Classic since 1988.

The Vikings acquired Bradford from the Eagles a preseason trade following the season-ending injury to quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The 5-and-0 Vikes look to stay unbeaten against the 3-and-2 Eagles, who have lost two straight games.
