>>Dodgers Blank Cubs In Game Two

 

(Chicago, IL)  —  The NLCS is all tied up.  Adrian Gonzalez’s solo homer in the second inning powered the Dodgers to a 1-0 win over the Cubs in Game Two in Chicago.  The best-of-seven set is tied at a game apiece.  The series shifts to LA for Game Three tomorrow night.

 

>>Jays Host Game Three Of ALCS

 

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  The Indians and Blue Jays meet in Game Three of the ALCS tonight in Toronto.  Cleveland is up 2-0 in the best-of-seven series after winning both games at home.  Cleveland’s Trevor Bauer opposes Marcus Stroman tonight.

 

 

>>Colts Fall To Texans In Overtime

 

(Houston, TX)  —  The Colts blew a 13-point lead as they fell to the Texans 26-23 in overtime.  Houston scored two touchdowns in the final 2:37 to send the game into overtime.  Frank Gore rushed for 106 yards and Andrew Luck threw for 252 yards with a touchdown and a pick.  The Colts fell to 2-and-4 and 0-and-3 on the road.  They’ll visit the Titans in Week Seven.

 

>>Jaguars Rally Past Bears In Chicago

 

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Jaguars put up 17 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a 17-16 win over the Bears at Soldier Field.  Brian Hoyer was 30-of-49 for 302 yards for the Bears, who slipped to 1-and-5.  Chicago hits the road to face the Packers on Thursday.

 

>>Patriots Down Bengals

 

(Foxboro, MA)  —  Tom Brady threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns as the Patriots beat the Bengals, 35-17.  Rob Gronkowski caught seven passes for a career-high 162 yards and a touchdown.  The Pats are 5-and-1.

 

>>Report: Steelers’ Roethlisberger Has Torn Meniscus

 

(Undated)  —  The Steelers are losing their starting quarterback.  Multiple reports say Ben Roethlisberger has a torn meniscus in his left knee and is going to have surgery today.  There’s no timetable for his return.

 

>>Illini End Skid Against Rutgers

 

(Piscataway, NJ)  —  Illinois stopped its skid at four with a 24-7 win Saturday at Rutgers.  Kendrick Foster had a rushing and receiving touchdown, and Darius Mosley ran back an interception 78 yards for a TD as the Illini improved to 2-and-4 overall and 1-and-2 in the Big Ten.  They play at fourth-ranked Michigan this Saturday.

 

>>Harvick Wins At Kansas

 

(Kansas City, KS)  —  Kevin Harvick took the checkered flag at the Hollywood Casino 400 in Kansas City.  Harvick clinched a spot in the Round of Eight in the Chase playoffs with the victory.  The final race in the Round of 12 is next Sunday at Talladega Speedway.
