The Braves of Mt. Zion continued their stretch of fantastic volleyball on the road Tuesday night as they earned a straight sets victory over Apollo Conference opponent Salem, 25-21, 25-17. This was the seventh of 13 matches since Saturday for Mt. Zion and it did not effect them as they got to quick starts in both matches to stay undefeated in conference play and move their record in the Apollo to 4-0. “Offense looked solid and we got off to a quick start in both sets. We got a change to give a lot of our hitters good swings and rest some of our sore shoulders,” said Mt. Zion head coach Jay McAtee.
Erin Ripple and Bri Amos each tallied eight kills on the night for the Braves and Stephanie Hurm and Reily Drake combined for 37 assists on the night. The grind continues again tonight for Mt. Zion as they play host to MacArthur and look to stay undefeated in Apollo Conference play.
