(Miami, FL) — An emotional night ends with a win for the Marlins. Miami beat the Mets 7-3 in their first game since the death of pitcher Jose Fernandez. The 24-year-old Fernandez was scheduled to start last night’s game before he was tragically killed in a boating accident on Sunday.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Cubs are celebrating their 100th win of the season. The Cubs hit the century mark with a 12-2 rout of the Pirates Monday in Pittsburgh. It’s the first time Chicago has won 100 games in a single season since 1935.

(St. Louis, MO) — Jaime Garcia gave up two home runs in the first inning and the Cardinals never recovered in a 15-2 loss to the Reds at Busch Stadium. Adam Duvall homered twice and drove in five for Cincinnati, which had 22 hits. Michael Wacha gave up seven more runs in relief for St. Louis.

(Chicago, IL) — The White Sox scored six unanswered runs en route to a 7-1 win over the Rays in Chicago. Justin Morneau and Carlos Sanchez clubbed two-run homers for Chicago in the opener of the four-game set. James Shields fanned six in six innings of one-run ball to improve to 4-and-11 with the Sox.

(Detroit, MI) — The Indians are division champions. Cleveland captured the AL Central crown with a 7-4 win over the Tigers in Detroit. The Tribe won the division title for the first time since 2007.

(New Orleans, LA) — Matt Ryan threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Falcons to a 45-32 win over the Saints on “Monday Night Football”. Atlanta improved to 2-and-1 with the win. Drew Brees passed for 376 yards, three touchdowns and an interception as New Orleans dropped to 0-and-3.

(Lake Forest, IL) — Jay Cutler isn’t guaranteed to start at quarterback for the Bears when he’s healthy enough to play. Head coach John Fox says it’s a “what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league” and he’s just trying to get the best 11 guys on the field. Cutler missed Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys with a thumb injury.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts are turning their attention to their first divisional match-up against Jacksonville. Indianapolis got its first win of the season Sunday, taking down the Chargers 26-22 at home. The Colts are now 1-and-2 and Jacksonville remained winless after its loss to Baltimore. Kick-off is 9:30 AM as the game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This is the first time the Colts will play in London.

(Miami, FL) — The Heat are moving on without All-Star forward Chris Bosh. Heat president Pat Riley says the team is not “working toward his return.” Bosh had his season cut short each of the last two years due to blood clots.
