The St. Teresa volleyball team is quietly making some noise in the area, as they earned their fourth straight win on Thursday night at home against Clinton in straight sets, 25-20, 25-13. The Bulldogs got off to a nice start in the first set and then lit things on fire in the second set to put the match away and move their record to 8-10 on the year. “Started out playing a difficult schedule to start the year and now the players are starting to see it all be worth it. Winning over Clinton last night was nice and we are now 3-0 in conference play,” said St. Teresa head coach Rhonda Glidewell.
Freshamn Abby Robinson led the way with eight kills for St. Teresa and Lexie Gifford added six kills of her own. Lexie Huck led the Bulldogs with five aces and 15 assists. “The girls had a lot of fun playing Clinton, they had an amazing warm up so the nerves settled quickly and they came out focused having fun and determined to win. At the beginning of the second set, it didn’t take long for them to find their rhythm and just execute it with full force,” said Glidewell.
St. Teresa is 8-10 and 3-0 in conference play, as they return to action Thursday night at home in conference matchup against Sullivan.
