It was a back and forth start for the Maroa-Forsyth volleyball team through the first couple of weeks of the season with some wins and loses mixed in with some inconsistency. The last couple of weeks have been good for the Trojans as they are off to a 3-0 start in the Sangamo after another conference victory on Thursday night at home against Petersburg Porta in straight sets, 25-12, 25-13. It was a good start mixed in with control and offense that led the Trojans to a quick win over PORTA. Senior Savana Sparks had been a leader all the way around and once again led the team with 10 kills and eight digs and junior Carly Mason added 17 assists on the night. The win is the third straight for Maroa-Forsyth and it moves their record to 7-4 on the year, as they return to action on the road Monday against St. Joseph-Ogden.
