(Los Angeles, CA) — Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is getting mixed reviews after working out for Major League Baseball teams. MLB Network reports about 25 clubs were on hand for yesterday’s workout. The 29-year-old is trying to become a big league outfielder after a failed NFL career.

(Denver, CO) — Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig could be on the move. MLB Network reports Puig, who is currently in the minors, has been claimed off waivers. Los Angeles can now try and work out a deal with that unnamed team.

(Chicago, IL) — Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run homer and Kyle Hendricks tossed seven sparkling innings in the Cubs’ 3-0 win over the Pirates. Hendricks moved to 13-and-7 after scattering three hits and a walk and striking out four. Aroldis Chapman earned his 11th save.

(Detroit, MI) — The Tigers rallied for an 8-4 win over the White Sox last night in Detroit. Todd Frazier launched his 33rd homer of the season for Chicago, which wasted an early 3-0 lead. Matt Albers suffered his sixth loss.
>>Grichuk Lifts Cardinals Past Brewers In 10th
(Milwaukee, WI) — Randal Grichuk singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning to lift the Cardinals to a 2-1 win over the Brewers at Miller Park. Jedd Gyorko homered for the second straight game for the Redbirds. Seung Hwan Oh picked up the win and Zach Duke notched his first save.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts are making a series of moves to get to the 75-player limit. Indy waived Anthony Sarao and Darius White, placed Desmen Southward on season-ending IR and signed safety Alden Darby. The Colts close out preseason play against the Bengals tomorrow.
