(Houston, TX)  —  After an off-day, the Cardinals make the middle stop on their three-city road trip tonight in Houston.  They play the first of a two-game series tonight at Minute Maid Park, with Jaime Garcia slated to start for St. Louis and Dallas Keuchel for Houston.  First pitch is at 7:10 p.m.
>>Cubs Host Brewers In Day-Night Doubleheader
(Chicago, IL)  —  The Cubs begin the final series on their 10-game homestand today against Milwaukee.  It’s a day-night doubleheader to kick off the four-game series.  Trevor Cahill opposes former Cub Matt Garza in the opener at 12:20 p.m.  Jason Hammel and Chase Anderson pitch the nightcap at 7:05 p.m.
>>White Sox Clash With Tribe In Cleveland
(Cleveland, OH)  —  The White Sox open a three-game series with the Indians tonight in Cleveland.  Chicago is 56-and-61 on the season.  Jose Quintana will be on the hill tonight for the Sox.  The Tribe counters with Corey Kluber.
>>Felix Wins Silver In 400m
(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)  —  Allyson Felix is the most decorated American woman in track and field history.  Felix won the silver medal in the 400-meter race last night.  She broke a tie with the legendary Jackie Joyner-Kersee with the seventh medal of her Olympic career.
>>U.S. Holds Commanding Medal Lead
(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)  —  The U.S. holds a commanding lead in the latest Olympic medal count standings.  The Americans added six more medals to their haul on Monday, giving them 75 through 10 days in Rio.  However, Team USA won no gold medals for the first time dating back to the 2008 Games.
>>NFL Players Facing Suspension Amid Probe
(Undated)  —  The NFL is playing hardball with the four players implicated in Al-Jazeera America’s PED report.  Multiple reports say James Harrison, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and Mike Neal will be suspended if they don’t cooperate in the league’s investigation by August 25th.
>>Spokesman: “A-Rod” Won’t Play Again In 2016
(Undated)  —  Alex Rodriguez has played his final game of the season.  A spokesperson for “A-Rod” says the 41-year-old will not play for any other team this year.  Rodriguez was released on Saturday after suiting up for the Yankees for the final time on Friday.
>>Cubs Fire DJ After Song Flap
(Chicago, IL)  —  A controversial song choice has cost the Cubs’ DJ their job.  The team fired the employee responsible for playing a song that references violence after Aroldis Chapman left the mound on Sunday.  Chapman was suspended 29 games earlier this year under MLB’s new domestic violence policy.
>>Colts Claim Guard Williams
(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts are adding offensive line help.  Indianapolis claimed guard Donovan Williams off waivers from the Bears yesterday.  The move comes after fellow lineman Denzelle Good and Kevin Graf were hurt in Saturday’s loss to the Bills.  Punter Michael Palardy was waived in a corresponding roster move.
