It was a solid three days of weather and competition at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic which took place Friday through Sunday at Hickory Point Golf Course. The Symetra Tour which made it’s way through the area showcased a ton of talent trying to make there way onto the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour (LPGA). Clariss Guce, a Artesia, California native, took home the crown on Sunday afternoon after posting a 1 under 71 and 10 under for the tournament. This was the second win of the year for the rookie and with the win, it now puts her in the top 10 of the Volvik Race for the Card money list, which at the end of the season gives the players a shot on the LPGA Tour. Laura Gonzalez Escallon and former Big Break Florida champion Jackie Stoelting finished tied for second at 8 under par. Stoelting’s finish moved her up to second place on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
