>>Warriors Introduce Kevin Durant


(Oakland, CA)  —  Kevin Durant is officially a member of the Warriors.  Golden State introduced the free-agent pickup yesterday.  Durant was the most-coveted free agent on the market this offseason.  He’ll be the highest-paid player on Golden State after signing a two-year, 54.3-million-dollar contract.


>>Braves Outlast Cubs In 11 Innings


(Chicago, IL)  —  Tyler Flowers’ RBI single in the top of the 11th gave the Braves a 4-3 win over the Cubs on a long night at Wrigley Field.  Willson Contreras smacked a two-run triple during a three-run eighth for Chicago, which has dropped seven of eight.  Spencer Patton took the loss.  The start of the game was delayed for over an hour due to rain.  The Cubs finish up the first half with three games at Pittsburgh, starting tonight.


>>Fan Carted Off After Fall


(Chicago, IL)  —  A fan had to be carted off and hospitalized after a fall at Wrigley Field last night.  The unidentified man apparently slipped while attempting to jump from the bleachers prior to the game.  The Cubs did not provide an update on his condition.


>>Cardinals Cool Off Pirates To Salvage Series Finale


(St. Louis, MO)  —  Stephen Piscotty hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning as the Cardinals pulled away for a 5-1 win over the Pirates at Busch Stadium.  Randall Grichuk also homered as St. Louis salvaged the finale of the four-game series.  It snapped Pittsburgh’s seven-game winning streak.


>>White Sox Open Series With Braves


(Chicago, IL)  —  The White Sox open a three-game series with the Braves at The Cell tonight.  It’s Chicago’s final series before next week’s All-Star break.  Chris Sale is slated to be on the mound in the opener for Chicago.  Atlanta will send out Matt Wisler.


>>Home Derby Contestants Announced


(San Diego, CA)  —  Todd Frazier will get a chance to defend his Home Run Derby crown next week in San Diego.  The White Sox slugger is one of eight participants in the 2016 Home Run Derby field Monday night at Petco Park.  Home run leader Mark Trumbo will also participate.


>>Cormier To Fight Silva


(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Daniel Cormier will compete at UFC 200 after all.  UFC president Dana White announced that Cormier will face Anderson Silva in a non-title bout tomorrow night.  Cormier was originally scheduled to face Jon Jones, who was pulled for a potential anti-doping violation.


>>Sprint Cup Series Heads To Kentucky


(Sparta, KY)  —  The Sprint Cup Series heads to Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400.  Qualifying takes places this evening, with the 267-lap, 400-and-a-half-mile race to follow tomorrow night.  Kyle Busch took the checkered flag at last year’s race.
