The start of the game was delayed for over an hour due to rain. The Cubs finish up the first half with three games at Pittsburgh, starting tonight.

(Chicago, IL) — A fan had to be carted off and hospitalized after a fall at Wrigley Field last night. The unidentified man apparently slipped while attempting to jump from the bleachers prior to the game. The Cubs did not provide an update on his condition.

(St. Louis, MO) — Stephen Piscotty hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning as the Cardinals pulled away for a 5-1 win over the Pirates at Busch Stadium. Randall Grichuk also homered as St. Louis salvaged the finale of the four-game series. It snapped Pittsburgh’s seven-game winning streak.
