(Undated)  —  The Dwyane Wade era in Miami is over.  Wade is leaving the Heat to sign with the Bulls.  Wade has spent his entire 13-year career in Miami.  The 12-time All-Star and Chicago native helped lead the Heat to NBA titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013.

 

>>Report: Allen Considering NBA Return

 

(Undated)  —  A future Hall of Famer is mulling a return to the NBA.  ESPN reports agents for Ray Allen have reached out to both the Warriors and Cavaliers about joining their teams.  Allen, who turns 41 later this month, last played for the Miami Heat in 2013-14.

 

>>Reds Top Cubs

 

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Reds rallied for as 5-3 win over the Cubs in the rubber match of a three-game set at Wrigley Field.  Trevor Cahill took the loss in relief for Chicago.  Ben Zobrist homered for the Cubs, who have lost six of their last seven games.

 

>>White Sox Blank Yankees

 

(Chicago, IL)  —  The White Sox blanked the Yankees, 5-0, in the rubber match of a three-game series at The Cell.  Miguel Gonzalez fired seven innings of five-hit ball to improve to 2-and-4.  Tim Anderson smacked a two-run double for Chicago, which improved to 44-and-41.

 

>>Pirates Rally Past Cardinals

 

(St. Louis, MO)  —  The Pirates scored six unanswered runs to rally past the Cardinals, 7-5, at Busch Stadium.  Pittsburgh has won seven straight to leapfrog St. Louis for second place in the NL Central.  Aledmys Diaz knocked in a pair of runs on three hits to pace the Cards at the plate.  Jonathon Broxton took the loss.

 

>>Jones Out Of UFC 200

 

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  One of UFC’s biggest stars will not appear on its biggest show to date.  Jon Jones has been pulled from Saturday’s UFC 200 event for a possible anti-doping violation.  Jones was slated to appear in the co-main event against Daniel Cormier.

 

>>Report: Michigan And Notre Dame Football Series To Resume

 

(Undated)  —  Michigan and Notre Dame didn’t put off their rivalry for long.  According to “Sports Illustrated”, the two schools will meet again on the gridiron starting in 2018.  The last time they played was in 2014 when the Fighting Irish smoked the Wolverines, 31-0.  Michigan had won four of the previous five meetings and leads the all-time series 24-17-and-1.

 

>>Former Football Players Petition For Return Of Paterno Statue

 

(State College, PA)  —  Over 200 former Penn State football players are petitioning the university to have the statue of head coach Joe Paterno put back in place.  The statue stood outside Beaver Stadium, but was removed in 2012 after the child sex abuse scandal involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

(Cheshire, England)  —  Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is a married man again.  E! News reports Wilson married pop star Ciara Harris in front of family and friends and Peckforton Castle in England.  They began dating in April of 2015
