Drive thru donations being accepted at the Cromwell Radio Group parking lot and Coziahr Harley Davidson til 6pm on Friday July 1. The 9/11 Memorial Fund is to create a representation of the twin towers near Lake Decatur that will use a 13 and a half foot I beam from The World Trade Center. The Port Authority awarded the piece of steel to Decatur for the memorial to be built, the steel was originally intended to be placed in the 9/11 Museum in New York. The memorial will use 100,000 pounds of concrete. We are asking for you the community to make monetary donations to buy pounds of concrete for $0.20 each. For your donation you will receive a certificate showing how many pounds of concrete you donated to the memorial.
