The Macon County Republican Central Committee appointed Dan to fill a vacancy on the ballot for the general election by unanimous vote at a meeting held on April 28, 2016. Dan filed his nominating petitions and statement of candidacy with the Macon County Clerk’s Office on May 27, 2016. Dan is a graduate from Millikin University and the University of Illinois College of Law. He has been practicing law in Decatur for the past six years.
