Dan Hassinger to formally announce candidacy for Office of Macon County State’s Attorney

Decatur — Dan Hassinger is pleased to announce his Candidacy for the office of Macon County State’s Attorney in the general election to be held on November 8, 2016. The Macon County Republican Central Committee appointed Dan to fill a vacancy on the ballot for the general election by unanimous vote at a meeting held on April 28, 2016. Dan filed his nominating petitions and statement of candidacy with the Macon County Clerk’s Office on May 27, 2016. Macon County Republican Central Committee Vice Chairperson, Susan Gant says “The citizens of Macon County are very fortunate to have a superb candidate like Dan.”  “We are in desperate need of a change in leadership in that office.” Dan Hassinger is a 15-year police-officer veteran and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Dan is a graduate from Millikin University and the University of Illinois College of Law. He has been practicing law in Decatur for the past six years.
