>>Bulls Trade Derrick Rose To Knicks


(Chicago, IL)  —  Derrick Rose is going from the Second City to Big Apple.  The Knicks have acquired Rose,Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick from the Bulls for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant.  The 27-year-old Rose averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists in 66 games last season.


>>LeBron Says He Loves Cleveland, No Intentions Of Leaving


(Cleveland, OH)  —  Cavaliers star LeBron James says he isn’t going anywhere.  James can opt out of the final year of his contract and become a free agent, but tells ESPN, “I love it here in Cleveland.  I have no intentions of leaving.”  James and the Cavs celebrated their first NBA title with a parade yesterday.


>>NBA Draft Tonight In Brooklyn


(Brooklyn, NY)  —  The 2016 NBA Draft takes place tonight in Brooklyn, New York.  There’s little suspense at the top of the draft, as the 76ers have told LSU’s Ben Simmons he will be selected with the first pick.  ESPN also reports the Lakers will take Duke’s Brandon Ingram second overall.


>>NHL Awards Expansion Team To Las Vegas


(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The National Hockey League is coming to Sin City.  The NHL’s Board of Governors has awarded an expansion team to Las Vegas, Nevada.  The team will play at the new T-Mobile Arena, which opened just off The Strip in April.  Las Vegas will begin play in the 2017-18 season.


>>Cardinals Complete Sweep Of Cubs


(Chicago, IL)  —  The Cardinals completed a three-game sweep of the Cubs with a 7-2 win in Chicago.  St. Louis swept its rival in a three-game set at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1988.  Jake Arrieta suffered his second loss of the season.


>>White Sox Rally By Boston


(Boston, MA)  —  Melky Cabrera and Brett Lawrie homered in the eighth to power the White Sox to an 8-6 win over the Red Sox.  Cabrera had four hits and four RBI while Todd Frazier launched a two-run shot for Chicago.  Dan Jennings earned his first win and Zach Duke nailed down his first save.


>>Cardinals At Mariners Tomorrow


(Seattle, WA)  —  The Cardinals are off today.  They make the second stop on their three-city road trip tomorrow night in Seattle.  Carlos Martinez will start the opener of the three-game series for St. Louis, while the Mariners send newly-acquired Wade LeBlanc to the mound.  First pitch is at 9:10 p.m.


>>Cubs At Marlins Tonight


(Miami, FL)  —  The Cubs begin an 11-game road trip tonight in Miami.  They play the first of a four-game series against the Marlins, with Jon Lester slated to oppose Miami’s Wei-Yin Chen.  First pitch is at 6:10 p.m.  Chicago will also play the Reds and Mets on this road swing.


>>White Sox Wrap Up Series With Boston


(Boston, MA)  —  The White Sox go for a four-game sweep of the Red Sox today in Boston.  Chicago is 36-and-36 on the season.  James Shields takes his fourth shot at his first win with Chicago.  Shields is 0-and-2 with a 21.81 ERA since joining the team.  Boston counters with Rick Porcello.


>>Blackhawks’ Kane Wins Hart Trophy As NHL’s MVP


(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane was the big winner at the NHL Awards.  Kane is the first Blackhawk since 1968 and the first American ever to win the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s MVP.  Kane also captured the Art Ross Trophy for winning the league’s scoring title and the Ted Lindsey Award as the NHL’s most outstanding player selected by his fellow players.  Meanwhile, teammate Artemi Panarin won the Calder Trophy as the top rookie
