>>Sharks Sink Pens To Force Game Six


(Pittsburgh, PA)  —  There will be a Game Six in the Stanley Cup Final.  The Sharks staved off elimination with a 4-2 win over the Penguins in Game Five in Pittsburgh.  The Sharks will try to force a decisive Game Seven when they host Game Six on Sunday.

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  Yadier Molina had an RBI single in the top of the eighth to give the Cardinals a 3-2 win over the Reds at Great American Ball Park.  Brandon Moss and Aledmys Diaz each drove in a run as St. Louis took the rubber match of the three-game series.  The Cards are 32-and-28.


>>White Sox Nip Nats To Avoid Sweep


(Chicago, IL)  —  The White Sox avoided a three-game sweep with a 3-1 win over the Nationals.  Melky Cabrera hit a two-run double and scored on Brett Lawrie’s two-bagger in the first.  Miguel Gonzalez tossed six innings of one-run ball for his first win.  David Robertson secured his 14th save.


>>Cubs Open Series With Braves


(Atlanta, GA)  —  The Cubs begin a three-game series with the Braves in Atlanta tonight.  Jason Hammel will get the start on the mound for Chicago.  Atlanta will send out Bud Norris.  The Cubs enter the set an MLB-best 41-and-17 on the season.


>>Machado, Ventura Suspended


(New York, NY)  —  Major League Baseball is handing out suspensions for Tuesday’s brawl involving the Royals and Orioles.  Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura has received a nine-game suspension, while Baltimore’s Manny Machado has been hit with a four-game ban.  Both players plan to appeal.


>>Phillies Select High School OF Moniak With Top Pick


(Secaucus, NJ)  —  The Phillies selected California high school outfielder Mickey Moniak with the top pick in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.  Moniak hit .476 with seven home runs in 105 at-bats for La Costa Canyon High School.


>>Cavs Look To Pull Even With Warriors Tonight


(Cleveland, OH)  —  The Cavaliers will try to get even with the Warriors when they host Game Four of the NBA Finals tonight.  Cleveland cut Golden State’s lead in the best-of-seven set in half with a 120-90 win on Wednesday.  The series shifts back to Oakland on Monday.


>>Exaggerator 9-to-5 Favorite To Win Belmont Stakes


(Elmont, NY)  —  The final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown takes place tomorrow.  Preakness Stakes winner Exaggerator is the early favorite for Saturday’s 148th running of the Belmont Stakes.  Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist will not participate.


>>Sprint Cup Series Heads To Michigan


(Brooklyn, MI)  —  The Sprint Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for the FireKeepers Casino 400.  Qualifying takes place at 4:15 today, with the 200-lap, 400-mile race to follow on Sunday afternoon.  Kurt Busch took the checkered flag at last year’s race.
