>>Warriors Thump Cavs To Take 2-0 Series Lead

 

(Oakland, CA)  —  The Warriors are two wins away from back-to-back NBA championships.  The Warriors clobbered the Cavaliers, 110-77, in Game Two of the NBA Finals in Oakland.  The best-of-seven series shifts to Cleveland for Game Three on Wednesday.

 

>>Broncos’ Talib Shot At Dallas Nightclub

 

(Dallas, TX)  —  Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is recovering after being shot in the leg at a Dallas nightclub.  WFAA reports he was one of three people wounded in an altercation early yesterday morning.  Talib is OK and is expected to be released from the hospital today.

 

>>D’backs Clip Cubs To Avoid Sweep

 

(Chicago, IL)  —  Jake Arrieta’s franchise-record 20-game win streak came to an end with a 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.  The Cubs’ ace suffered his first regular-season loss since July 25th when the Cubs were no-hit by Cole Hamels.

 

>>Cardinals Top Giants With Four-Run Sixth

 

(St. Louis, MO)  —  An error by Brandon Crawford keyed a four-run sixth inning for the Cardinals as they beat the Giants 6-3 at Busch Stadium.  Matt Carpenter went 3-for-4 with an RBI as St. Louis took two-of-three.  Carlos Martinez picked up his sixth win and Trevor Rosenthal notched his 10th save.

 

>>Tigers Complete Sweep Of White Sox

 

(Detroit, MI)  —  The Tigers completed a three-game sweep of the White Sox with a 5-2 win.   Jose Abreu and Todd Frazier homered for Chicago, which has lost 10 of its last 12.  Jose Quintana was tagged for all five runs in four-and-two-thirds frames as he fell to 5-and-6.

 

>>Axalta 400 Pushed To Monday Due To Rain

 

(Long Pond, PA)  —  Yesterday’s Axalta “We Paint Winners’ 400 was postponed due to rain at Pocono Raceway.  The Sprint Cup Series event is now scheduled to get underway at noon today.  Brad Keselowski is on the pole.

 

>>Sharks Host Pens In Game Four

 

(San Jose, CA)  —  The Sharks and Penguins square off in Game Four of the Stanley Cup Final tonight in San Jose.  The Sharks cut Pittsburgh’s lead in the best-of-seven series in half with a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday.
