The Chicago Cubs defeated the Colorado Rockies 6-2 at Wrigley Field. Jorge Soler, Dexter Fowler and Anthony Rizzo hit homers for the Cubs. Fowlers’ was a three-run home run. Jake Arrieta went to 3-0 on the season while picking up the victory.
The Chicago White Sox lost to the Tampa Rays 7-2. Brett Lawrie hit a home run for the White Sox. John Danks was the losing pitcher for Chicago.
The St. Louis Cardinals were nipped by the Cincinatti Reds 9-8. Stephen Piscotty hit a three-run dinger for the Redbirds and Brandon Moss added a homer. Adam Wainwright took the loss for the Cardinals and fell to 0-2 on the season.

In the first round of the NBA Playoffs, the Indiana Pacers beat 100-90, Golden State knocked off the Houston Rockets 104-78, the Atlanta Hawks nipped the Boston Celtics 102-101 and Oklahoma City beat the Dallas Mavericks handily 108-70.
Golden State guard and reigning NBA MVP turned his ankle and is questionable for Game 2 against Dallas.
