Sports News For Saturday April 9th, 2016

The St. Louis Cardinals picked up their first win of the season beating the Atlanta Braves 7-4.  The Cardinals had three pinch-hit home runs from Jeremy Hazelbaker, Greg Garcia and Aledyms Diaz.   It was the first time in Major League Baseball that 3 different pinch-hit homers were hit in a game.   Kevin Siegrist picked up the win in relief for the Cards.

The Chicago Cubs lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on a walk-off hit by Yasmany Tomas of Arizona.   Trevor Cahill took the loss for the Cubs.   Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist each drove in a run for Chicago.

The Chicago White Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians 7-1.   John Danks was the losing pitcher for the White Sox.   Todd Frazier homered for the lone run for Chicago.

NASCAR Sprint Cup racing. rolls into Dallas-Fort Worth Saturday night at 6:30 PM.   You can hear the roar of the engines on GRIZ FM 98.1.   Carl Edwards took the pole position and will be joined in the front row by Joey Logano.

Jordan Spieth leads The Masters by one stroke after Friday’s round 2.   Rory McElroy sits just one shot by Spieth with Saturday and Sunday’s rounds yet to play.

The Chicago Bulls host Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday night at 6:30 PM in the United Center.
