“Sin City” could be a landing spot for the Raiders. Multiple reports say Raiders owner Mark Davis will be in Las Vegas today to explore potential stadium sites. Sands Corp. is looking to help build a one-billion-dollar domed stadium not far from the Las Vegas Strip.
Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis says he doesn’t plan to let a broken arm prevent him from playing in Super Bowl 50. Davis had surgery Monday after fracturing his right arm Sunday. He says he expects to be on the field against the Broncos on February 7th.
The Indianapolis Colts are extending the contract of general manager Ryan Grigson through 2019. NFL Network reports Grigson received an extra three years on top of his current deal. He joins head coach Chuck Pagano, who was also retained this offseason with a new four-year deal. Both were reportedly on the hot seat after Indianapolis failed to reach the postseason going 8-and-8.
A pair of Warriors headline this year’s NBA All-Star Game reserves. Both Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were named to the Western Conference squad Thursday night. They’ll join teammate Steph Curry when the game takes place on Sunday, February 14th.
Jimmy Butler had 26 points and 10 assists as the Bulls obliterated the Lakers, 114-91. Pau Gasol added 21 points, 12 boards and seven assists as Chicago improved to 26-and-19. Derrick Rose chipped in with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The Bulls face the Clippers Sunday.

Illinois rallied in the second half, but fell in overtime to Ohio State, 68-63. Kendrick Nunn scored 24 points for the Illini, who dipped to 2-and-6 in the Big Ten and 10-and-11 overall. The Illini host Wisconsin on Sunday.

Former White Sox outfielder Walt “No Neck” Williams has passed away at age 72. Williams spent six seasons in Chicago from 1967-72. He hit .271 with 20 homers and 116 RBI during his time with the White Sox.
