NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is calling the proposed riverfront stadium in St. Louis inadequate. The “LA Times” cites a 48-page report he sent to team owners on Saturday as saying the proposal will not require the NFL to block the Rams from moving to Los Angeles.

The Cardinals could finalize a deal with Korean reliever Seung-hwan [[ shweng-wahn ]] Oh today. Korean analyst Daniel Kim reports the 33-year-old is on his way to St. Louis for a physical. Oh has pitched in Korea and Japan. He had 41 saves last year for the Hanshin Tigers.
The Nets have fired head coach Lionel Hollins and reassigned general manager Billy King. Assistant Tony Brown will serve as interim head coach of the Nets, who are second-to-last in the Eastern Conference at 10-and-27.
The champion of college football will be crowned tonight in the desert. Top-ranked Clemson goes up against number-two Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. Eastern.
