Purdue on Sunday.
The Bulls ran their winning streak to six games with a 10192 victory over the Celtics. Jimmy Butler had
19 points and 10 assists, while Pau Gasol added 17 points and 18 rebounds. Derrick Rose scored 18 in the
win. The Bulls visit the Hawks tomorrow.
First year eligibles Brett Favre, Terrell Owens and Alan Faneca are among 15 modern era
finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Quarterback Kurt Warner and wide receiver Marvin Harrison
are also finalists for the Class of 2016, which will be revealed February 6th.
Peyton Manning will be the starting quarterback when the Broncos open the playoffs next weekend. Brock

“Philadelphia DailyNews” reports current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden is interested in the headcoaching
vacancy with the Eagles. Gruden last coached in the NFL with the Buccaneers in 2008.
Bryce Alford buried a three pointer with 1.8 seconds left to give UCLA a thrilling 8784 win over sixth-
ranked Arizona. UCLA led by as many as 14 in the second half before the Wildcats tied the game with 14
seconds left. Arizona’s winning streak was stopped at eight.
One day after being elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. and catcher
Mike Piazza are picking which team hat they will wear in Cooperstown. Griffey revealed yesterday that he
will enter the Hall as a Mariner. Piazza, meanwhile, will be enshrined with a New York Mets hat.
