Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy won’t be punished by the team for his sideline confrontations during Sunday’s loss to the Giants. Hardy was involved in heated exchanges with special teams coach Rich Bisaccia and injured wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Jonathan Toews scored 51 seconds into overtime to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 win over the Ducks in Chicago. Corey Crawford denied all 39 shots he faced for the Blackhawks, who have won four straight to improve to 6-3-and-0 on the year. The ‘Hawks visit the Jets on Thursday.
Longtime outfielder Torii Hunter is calling it a career. The five-time All-Star is retiring after 19 big league seasons, 12 of which he spent with the Twins. The 40-year-old Hunter also played for the Angels and Tigers.
