The Royals are just a victory away from a return trip to the Fall Classic. The Royals cranked out 15 hits in a 14-2 rout of the Blue Jays in Game Four of the ALCS in Toronto. The Jays will try to avoid elimination at home today.
Seahawks running back Fred Jackson is okay after crashing his car following practice yesterday. Jackson said on his personal Twitter account that he lost control of his car and wasn’t racing teammates when the accident occurred.
There is a changing of the guard at quarterback at Ohio State. Head coach Urban Meyer says J.T. Barrett will start under center when the top-ranked Buckeyes play Rutgers Saturday. Barrett is replacing Cardale Jones, who helped lead Ohio State to a national title last season.
Illinois football is getting set to welcome the Wisconsin Badgers to Memorial Stadium this Saturday. The Fighting Illini lost 29-20 at 18th-ranked Iowa this past Saturday to drop to 4-and-2 overall. The Badgers picked off Purdue 24-7 at home on Saturday to improve to 5-and-2.
The NBA’s general managers believe the Cavaliers will win a championship this season. LeBron James and the Cavs were picked to go all the way by nearly 54-percent of the league’s GMs in NBA.com’s annual GM survey. The defending champion Warriors received only 17.9-percent, the lowest percentage for the reigning champion in the 13-year history of the survey.
