The Cubs closed within 5 games of the Cardinals in the NL Central Race. Kris Bryant hit his 25th homer of the season for Chicago. Matt Carpenter hit a two-run homer for the St. Louis.

The St Louis Rams will try to start 2-and-0 for the first time since 2001 when they take on the Redskins Sunday at FedEx Field. St. Louis hasn’t won its first two games of the season since going 6-and-0 to start the 2000 season. The Rams were 24-0 winners at Washington last December.
